Our Mission
-
Promote a coordinated effort within the industry to combat insurance fraud;

Provide education and training for insurance investigators;

Develop greater awareness of the insurance fraud problem;

Support legislation that acts as a deterrent to the crime of insurance fraud; and
-
Encourage high professional standards of conduct among insurance investigators.
IASIU membership consists of Special Investigative Unit (SIU) professionals from around the world. Individuals qualifying as full members include employees of insurance company SIU's, self-insured SIU's, and special agents or supervisors of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). Associate members include insurance fraud personnel who support the investigative process, individuals in law enforcement involved in insurance fraud investigations, prosecutors of insurance fraud crime and full-time investigators of state insurance fraud bureaus.
